1. General terms and conditions
kauppa.kouvolanlakritsi.fi is the online store of Kouvolan Lakritsi Oy (Business ID: 0911055-6). These terms and conditions apply to commercial relationships between Kouvolan Lakritsi Oy and its customers. With respect to services and products mediated by Kouvolan Lakritsi Oy, the terms and conditions specified by the service provider in question also apply. Kouvolan Lakritsi Oy is entitled to updating these terms and conditions without prior notice. The terms and conditions in force at the time of ordering are applied to orders.
Kouvolan Lakritsi is not liable for damage caused by force majeure. Force majeure is an unforeseeable event or change in circumstances beyond the control of Kouvolan Lakritsi Oy. Kouvolan Lakritsi shall inform the customer about force majeure circumstances immediately.
2. Customer and data protection
In commercial relations, applicable Finnish and EU legislation on consumer trade, marketing, and advertising shall be followed. In case of commercial agreements between corporate customers and Kouvolan Lakritsi Oy, these terms and conditions shall primarily be followed; in other respects, the Sale of Goods Act of Finland applies.
Upon order submission, the customer is obliged to submit full contact information; in case of private person customers, this includes at least the name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address, if possible. Information required from corporate customers includes the name, telephone number and e-mail address of the contact person, as well as the company’s business ID, mail address, telephone number(s) and, where appropriate, invoicing address.
The customers’ information is stored in the customer database of Kouvolan Lakritsi Oy; the data contained in the database are used for customer relations management. Kouvolan Lakritsi Oy is also entitled to processing and transferring the data contained in the register for justifiable purposes (such as direct marketing) in compliance with the Personal Data Act (523/99).
3. Price list
The prices include VAT, but not transport, unless otherwise stated. If there are evident price errors in the price list, the relevant product will not be sold at a clearly lower price if it can be assumed that the customer understood the existence of error.
We always check the prices at the time of order processing. If the price has dropped, we will correct the prices in the customer’s open order. However, if the product price should rise before order submission, we will deliver the product at the initial price.
We strive to process completed orders within 48 hours of submission. A completed order is an order in which case all of the products are in our warehouse and reserved for the order, and in which case the order’s payment method has been accepted.
Kouvolan Lakritsi Oy is not liable to reserve other products under the same order to the customer if some of the products ordered are not readily available or delivery thereof is delayed for reasons beyond the control of Kouvolan Lakritsi Oy. The consumer may alternatively choose postponed delivery of the delayed product or cancelling of the order. In case of postponed delivery, the mailing expenses will be charged in the regular manner, according to the price list in force. Products included in an order will be reserved for a maximum of 7 days; if the customer has not accepted postponed delivery on the conditions of Kouvolan Lakritsi Oy, the order will be cancelled.

6. Return of goods
Kouvolan Lakritsi Oy grants its customers a 14-day money back guarantee. The products can be returned by the free customer return service offered by Posti or directly to our service points at sales centres. Kouvolan Lakritsi Oy shall pay the return costs if the return has been effected in accordance with its instructions via Posti’s customer return service. The products returned must be packed with care.
7. Liability for defects

The customer is required to present proof of purchase, a receipt or other proof of purchasing time and place when returning products or submitting claims related to product defects.
Only claims in writing will be processed. The free-format claims can be sent by e-mail to the address email@example.com or by mail to our office. The website allows submission of customer feedback.
Resolution of disputes and legal venue: Private person customers are entitled to refer any conflicts arising from this contract to the Consumer Disputes Board (www.kuluttajariita.fi) for resolution. Before taking the matter to the Consumer Disputes Board, the customer is required to contact the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority (www.kuluttajaneuvonta.fi). A customer may submit claims resulting from contract-related debt relationship against Kouvolan Lakritsi Oy whether at the district court of the domicile of Kouvolan Lakritsi Oy or at the district court of the Finnish municipality in which jurisdiction the customer resides. If the customer does not have a residence in Finland, the disputes shall be settled by the district court of the domicile of Kouvolan Lakritsi Oy.
Intermediation costs will not be refunded, since the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority and Consumer Disputes Board offer free of charge assistance in resolution of disputes.
